As General Contractors, the Summit Custom Home team is with you every step of the way. We will handle every facet of the building process from design to the occupancy permit. We are what the construction industry refers to as a “turnkey” builder. We complete your design with you, coordinate all of the materials needed, contract all of your subcontractors, oversee their performance, and complete your home to the highest quality standard. We want every home we build for our clients to be one we use as a model home. Client relations, quality, and satisfaction are what we see as our keys to success!
As a rule-of-thumb, Summit Custom Homes will build within an area 60 miles of Charlottesville, VA. We are currently working to establish a model, sales team, and subcontractor base in Snowshoe, WV. This will help us to broaden our contracting capabilities and services.
If you are looking to build outside of these areas, we do have teams available to travel to your site to get your home to a “dried-in” or “lock-up” stage. Dried-in or Lock-up means all framing, shingles, windows, exterior doors, siding, and exterior trim will be accomplished before they leave your site. It will look as if your home is ready to be moved into, yet when you open the door, you will have an unfinished interior space. You will be your own general contractor from this point on.
